- Conduct a detailed study of the case to be heard before the court session
- Hold a hearing of a case
- Write a judgments
- Adjudicate some of the parties’ claims
- The judge needs to order and stamp the internal administrative documents of the court, or send out notices and subpoenas to the parties, witnesses, etc
