Influenced by his father since he was small, Chiu Tsz-fung has aspired to be a Chinese medicine practitioner. Owing to his unsatisfactory results in the HKDSE Examinations, he pursued his studies by enrolling in the preparatory class in Jinan University in the Mainland and was admitted to the undergraduate programme of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jinan University thereafter. During his studies, he won numerous outstanding student and scientific research awards. Upon graduation, he pursued a Master Degree Programme in Chinese Medicine (major in Gynecology) at the University of Hong Kong and passed the Chinese Medicine Practitioners Licensing Examination. Amid the fifth wave of COVID-19 pandemic in Hong Kong, Tsz-fung took the initiative in fighting against the pandemic by assisting in doctors’ diagnosis, writing medical records, prescribing medication with the combined use of Chinese and Western medicines so as to reduce the workload of medical staff.
