Youth Recruitment Day@Youth Employment and Training Programme

The Youth Employment and Training Programme (YETP) of the Labour Department will hold the "Youth Recruitment Day@YETP" on 1 June 2023.  30 companies from various industries including transport, hotel, banking, tourism, theme parks, public services, retail, catering and property management will join the recruitment day with over 2 000 full-time and part-time on-the-job training vacancies for young people and no related work experience required for most of the vacancies.  Participating employers will set up counters and conduct on-the-spot recruitment.  Young school leavers aged 15 to 24 with educational attainment at sub-degree level or below are welcomed to join the programme and job interview would be arranged for suitable job seeker.

Sharing Session

Hong Kong boxer Rex Tso Sing-yu and the pop singer Kaho Hung will join the event and share their athletic and singer career story respectively to encourage the young people to pursue their career goal by perseverance and determination.  The session will be conducted in Cantonese.  Seats will be available on first come, first served basis.

 

Career Talks and Other Employment Information

Career talks will be delivered to introduce prospects of various industries.  A panel area will be staged to provide information on one-month workplace attachment / 6 to 9 months on-the-job training of the Labour Department, the e-Learning Support Scheme, the Project for Tradesman Trainees, the Laboratory Assistant Technician (Construction Materials Testing) Training Project.  Service providers will also provide various services on-site, such as providing assistance to eligible applicants in the enrolment process of joining YETP, assisting applicants in selecting and enrolling in suitable training courses and providing career consultation and advice on preparing resume.
