Youth Recruitment Day@Youth Employment and Training Programme

The Youth Employment and Training Programme (YETP) of the Labour Department will hold the "Youth Recruitment Day@YETP" on 14 May 2024.  33 companies from various industries including transport, airline services, hotel, theme parks, public services, retail, catering and property management will join the recruitment day with over 2 000 full-time and part-time on-the-job training vacancies for young people and no related work experience required for most of the vacancies.  Participating employers will set up counters and conduct on-the-spot recruitment.  Young school leavers aged 15 to 24 with educational attainment at sub-degree level or below are welcomed to join the programme and job interview would be arranged for suitable job seeker.

Sharing Session

Guest speakers Hins Cheung, Phil Lam, Yumi Chung and Dark Wong will join the event and participate in sharing sessions.  They will share their stories in pursuit of career development to encourage the young people to pursue their career goal by seizing opportunity.  The sharing sessions will be conducted in Cantonese.  Priority admission will be given to YETP’s service targets due to limited seats.


Career Talks and Other Employment Information

Career talks, course demonstrations and introductory sessions on special employment projects will be delivered to introduce prospects of various industries.  A panel area will be staged to provide information on one-month workplace attachment / 6 to 12 months on-the-job training of the Labour Department, the e-Learning Support Scheme, the Office of the Director of Apprenticeship of Vocational Training Council providing information on the Project for Tradesman Trainees co-organised by YETP and vocational training, and introduction to the Testing, Inspection and Certification Industry by the Qualifications Framework Secretariat, so as to assist young people in planning for their future career.  Service providers will also provide various services on-site, such as providing assistance to eligible applicants in the enrolment process of joining YETP, assisting applicants in selecting and enrolling in suitable training courses and providing career consultation and advice on preparing resume.
